On September 24, 2019, the National Commission for State Regulation in the Sphere of Energy and Utilities adopted a resolution to reduce the green tariff for electricity for private households.
The resolution entered into force on January 1, 2020.
The green tariff for electricity will be the following:
- generation by solar power plants with a capacity up to 30 kW from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024 – 427 UAH 93 kopecks per kW * hour (before it was 499 UAH 27 kopecks / kW * hour);
- generation by wind farms of private households for the next four years – 274 UAH 90 kopecks / kW * hour (it was 306 UAH 07 kopecks);
- combined wind-solar generating systems, the tariff from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024 is 323 UAH 07 kopecks / kW * hour (in 2019 it was 430 UAH 76 kopecks).
The tariff is without VAT.
The Ministry of Energy and Ecology offers representatives of renewable energy to restructure the tariff voluntarily until April 2020, in exchange for extending it for 5 years.
